POWER FEED AND THREADING

Power feeds and thread cutting capability are features most machinists expect from a lathe, and we offer the most comprehensive set of tools for these operations in the industry.  Our machine comes standard with a full set of ALL STEEL gears for cutting both inch and metric threads of left and right hand configuration.  Other 3 in 1 machines use cast or even plastic gears and often can only cut a few styles of threads.  In addition to this important capability we offer power feed on both the X ( longitudinal ) axis and Y ( cross travel) axis which can operate simultaneously and be reversed with the shift of a lever.  Most 3 in 1 machines require you to stop and reverse the lathe motor to change directions of power feeds and also to disconnect one to engage the other.  Combined with the Hi-Neutral-Low gearbox selection and the High-Neutral Low spindle selection, you have 4 speed selection ratios at your command for your turning needs simply by moving the convenient levers and never stopping the motor.  In addition, by changing the combinations of the 17 gears supplied with your machine, the feed ratios available are over 500.
