CNC, DRO AND BALL SCREW MOUNTING POINTS

This is one of those features that some customers think they will never use, and in some cases they are right.  But if you ever decide to upgrade to these functions, you will be glad you chose the PATRIOT over those old style machines.  We have been offering these options for more than 20 years, and we know from experience how difficult and frustrating it can be trying to design all these brackets , drilling and tapping holes and making sheet metal shields just to install a product that you spent hundreds or even thousands on. Other companies offer these upgrades and claim their products are  " CNC ready" or some such, but in reality, you are required to pay extra for a " mounting kit" and then spend days modifying the machine before it will work. The PATRIOT has all these features built in right from the factory- precision done, and all components fitted and painted to match.  If you add these items to your first order, they are installed by us and ready to run, but if you order  at any time in the future, the installation will be a pleasant bolt up job with professional results.

The X axis CNC drive mount is precision factory built to fit NEMA 34 mount motors with pre-set center distances for the tooth belt pulleys.  It is fully covered by a steel shield to protect the drive from chips and fluids.

                The Y axis CNC mount is also factory built with pre-set center to center distances.

The Z axis CNC mount is also  factory made with pre- set center distances and protected by a matching steel shield.  Please note how the CNC drives are designed to be independent of the manual handles, so you can always operate your machine by hand if you desire.  Other 3 in 1 " retrofits" actually replace the handles with a motor mount, causing loss of the manual functions.

The PATRIOT comes with a factory built mount for the DRO display. Designed to put the display at the proper angle and height for easy reach of the buttons for all your functions.  The Z axis DRO scale is also mounted on factory drilled and tapped holes and attached to the quill bracket, yet fully hidden from view and protected from chips and fluids..

The PATRIOT  X axis DRO mount is factory drilled and tapped into the main machine casting to be precisely aligned with the carriage motion. It is hidden under the casting edge for protection from
chips and fluids.
